I'll never understand it. I'm so saddened on my way to the C.A.T.S. Resale Shop in Westwood each week to pass a puppy store on Kinderkamack Road in Emerson. How can people still not know about this? Do they simply not want to know (like with how the meat that ends up on their plate)? Or it's just they simply view these pets as some kind of accessory?
They would be the most naive people in the pet store business if they weren't aware of the cruel conditions in the puppy mills. If there is a buck to be made, that would be reason enough, for some, to look away.
