JFK Airport. Feral Cat Roundup. IDA. Demonstration. June 3, 2008.

Attention animal lovers! The Port Authority of New York and New Jersey is resuming their extermination program of feral cats in and around the JFK Airport area. In Defense of Animals will be demonstrating on June 3rd, Tuesday, at Port Authority headquarters in Manhattan. Rain or shine, they say, and the time will be from 11:15a.m. to 1:00 p.m. The headquarters are located at 225 Park Avenue South ( between 18th and 19th Street ), and that puts you right around Union Square.

Those against the roundup favor a Trap-Neuter-Return (TNR) program over the killing or relocation of the cats.
